LegalAve TM app for iPhone and iPad

LegalAve is a starting point for Albertans who are looking for legal information. The Alberta Legal Information Society (ALIS) created this app to help Albertans get to the correct information they need to address their legal concerns.

A key feature of LegalAve is the Guided Pathway—a step-by-step approach that points visitors to the legal information that applies to them by having them answer a series of questions. This makes it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for.

The App currently contains resources about family law. We consulted with various legal service providers and Public Legal Education and Information (PLEI) organizations throughout the province to create a website that addresses many of the questions Albertans have when dealing with a family law matter. This includes information about marriage and other kinds of relationships, divorce and its associated issues, adoption, elder law, domestic violence, and options for solving legal problems. Over the next few years, we will continue to expand LegalAve to include information about other areas of law.
